Occupational health, safety policy statement

QEDI shall operate an Occupational Health, Safety (OH&S) Management System as a demonstration of its commitment to pro-actively safeguard the health and safety of all employees and third-party staff in the workplace.

This commitment shall include (but not limited to):

  • Provision of safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health in our operation (Provision of Engineering Design Services, Technical Manpower Recruitment, and Procurement) and is appropriate to the context of QEDI.
  • This policy shall serve as a framework for the establishment of Occupational Health and Safety Management System objectives which is communicated, understood, and implemented at all levels, with due consideration to the applicable OH&S standards, codes of practice, and legal and other applicable requirements.
  • Top management is committed to ensuring all legal, applicable Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards, codes of practice and other applicable requirements are fulfilled.
  • Establishment of processes for the elimination of Occupational Health and Safety Management System hazards/aspects and reducing its associated risk and impacts across all processes within the organization.
  • Ensure workers participation and consultation platforms to foster OH&S -MS processes and procedures that impact workers ability to function with respect to OH&S -MS objectives.
  • Line Managers and Supervisors have the responsibility to monitor and measure compliance to the system requirements, in order to achieve the set objectives and continually improve process performance
  • Top Management in addition to providing adequate resources shall promote training, and education programs to ensure continuous development of safety attitude and environmental impact awareness.
  • This policy is communicated and made available to all employees, contractors, and other interested parties and all are required to fulfil their OH&S obligations as an integral part of their responsibilities.
  • The policy is reviewed at twelve monthly management for continuous suitability and relevance.
